CSA stands for "Community Supported Agriculture." We believe this is one of the best ways for your family to eat a healthy, healing, nourishing diet.
How important is local food to you and your family? Are you interested in eating seasonally? Do you want to know who is growing your food and how? Do you want fruits and vegetables that are ripened in the sun, not on the back of a truck or in some artificial containment facility? Do you know that "apeel" is on a lot of the produce at the stores now and they do NOT have to label it?
This is why small, local farmers are so important! We are committed to growing food in healthy soil. We take great measures to ensure that our soil is rich in healthy microbes and nutrients. Plants, much like humans, are far more disease resistant when they are raised in healthy soil. We believe beneficial bugs are crucial to a flourishing farm. Our approach to farming is to grow God's way....treat others the way we want to be treated. This means farming with conviction, being transparent and ethical. We strive to not use anything on our plants that is not found in nature. In a pinch, we will use sprays that are organically approved, but even this is our last resort. In a world that seems to be accelerating towards chaos, we are choosing to slow down, do the right things, grow the food and trust that more and more people will choose to come along side us. We believe farming is a high calling. We are nurturing and growing food for your family. We take this very seriously. We invite you to come support what we are doing...growing and dreaming. This is an exciting time to be alive. There are so many things happening in our world - that seem out of our control, but having a local connection to the land, the farmer and your food is within your control.

Actually, it is a myth that Amish and Mennonite farmers are organic or chemical free. Only two farmers in the community we connected with are growing using chemical free/sustainable farming practices. After months of searching, I discovered Golden Rule farm growing against the "grain" of the community. They were convinced and convicted that organic farming was the only way to grow nourishing, flavorful foods that would heal not only our bodies, but the land.
