2 Ways to Freeze Broccoli

As Florets: Cut broccoli stalks into florets. Steam florets in colander for about 2-3 minutes(or blanch in boiling water 1 minute) , just until broccoli begins to turn bright green. Immediately dip into ice water bath to cool. Dry on towel and pack into pint-sized freezer bags or containers, squeezing out excess air.

As Soup: Make your favorite Cream of Broccoli Soup or Broccoli and Cheese Soup Recipe. If you like, you can skip the cream or cheese and add after re-heating.  Freeze in pint or quart containers, labeling with recipe and date.
