Week 20

Posted 9/23/2018 8:28pm by Stephanie Bradshaw.

Hi Friends,

Can you guys believe we're at week 20!  Only 4 weeks of the Spring/Summer CSA left.  This past week, your boxes included mustard greens, spaghetti squash, mini-bells, cilantro, hot peppers, October beans, microgreens, yellow squash and/or zucchini, Bell Peppers, and onions.  If you guys watched our video from this week, my sister said she always uses bacon ends when cooking greens.  You can find those in the online store (Pastured Pork Department) for $4.99.

Next week's Harvest report looks something like this:  Butternut Squash, Potatoes, Okra, Mustard greens, Hot Peppers, Bell Peppers, Microgreens, Green beans or October beans, and Pastured Eggs (Full Shares get a dozen, Half shares get a 1/2 dozen).

For those of you that picked up in our MJ sites, you were able to taste test the Herb Salsa.  Everyone that tasted it, loved it, and we ran out of bottles....but we've got plenty in the online store, so feel free to add some to your boxes this week!  Our Raw honey is still in, and we're patiently waiting on the bee pollen :(   We've also added pickled beets, Mild and Hot Relish, and even some sweet pickles.

Sometime this week I'll be sending out some info on the importance of buying pastured meats.  It really is shocking to know the practices of most conventional farmers!  Farmhouse Nashville is blessed to partner with some amazing farmer's that truly care about the health of their animals, and those that consume it.  Please take the time to give it a read.

We've still got just a few turkeys available to reserve for the Holidays.  If you order by October 15th, all Wilson County residents will receive free Home Delivery.  We're thinking they will be ready by the last week of October :)

Thank you so much for being a part of Farmhouse Nashville!  We appreciate you so much!!

Cheers to Healthy Eating,

Farmhouse Nashville Team
